Elyse McGlumphy, M.D.

Dr. McGlumphy received her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She completed residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Maryland where she was Chief Resident, and subspecialty fellowship in glaucoma at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Following fellowship, Dr. McGlumphy joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. Dr. McGlumphy has a strong interest in clinical glaucoma research and continues to participate in ongoing studies. She has a particular interest in new surgical technologies and studying long term patient outcomes. Additionally she has worked extensively in the area of icare home tonometry, studying diurnal variation in eye pressure. She has given national and international lectures in glaucoma. In her free time she enjoys biking, painting, and spending time with her husband and son.
